WATER SOFTENER
Purpose: Soften boiler feed water by exchanging hardness minerals (calcium and magnesium ions) with sodium ions forming a soluble non-scaling mineral that will not build up on hot surfaces. Softener systems include single or multiple resin tanks, brine system, salt storage, and automatic regeneration controls. Options include ASME tanks, special lining, skid mounting, and special controls.

BLOWOFF HEAT RECOVERY
Purpose: Recover waste heat from continuous boiler surface blowdown by preheating boiler feed water before it enters feedwater tank or DA. Units automatically control blowdown rate to maintain desired level of dissolved solids in boiler water and recover up to 90% of available heat normally lost to drain.
